Hollywood Children Celebrate Birthdays in Tinseltown

Birthday wishes go out to two very famous children of Hollywood. Our first birthday wishes goes to former Full House Star Jodie Sweetin. Sweetin, age 30, was the middle sister Stephanie Tanner on this sitcom Full House.   Set in San Francisco, the show chronicles widowed father Danny Tanner, who, after the death of his wife, enlists his best friend Joey Gladstone and his brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis to help raise his three daughters, D.J., Stephanie, and Michelle. The show originally ran in primetime from September 22, 1987 to May 23, 1995 on ABC.  After lots of ups and downs with career, marriage and drug addiction Sweetin seems to look better than ever. She seems to have overcome the Hollywood downfall of a lot of child actors succumb to.

Our second birthday wishes goes out to Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise’s adopted son, Conner, now 17. Connor and sister, Bella, adopted at birth spent the night celebrating at Staples Center. It was in the younger days of Cruise and Kidman that I can remember them being photographed in Tinseltown with the kids. Now, at 17 and 19 both children seem like well adjusted successful adults.  Cruise and Kidman divorced after 10 years of marriage and each re-married, Cruise to Katie Holmes and is now proud papa of the best dressed 5 year old Suri. Kidman married country singer Keith Urban and have two daughters.

Hollywood Trivia & Fun Facts - What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas!

Hollywood comes to the Valley – What happens in Las Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas. CSI Las Vegas likes to claim that they are in Las Vegas, however, a lot of there scenes are filmed locally in the valley. One episode in particular showed the investigative team on a football field investigating the death of a young girl in the stadium booth at the top of the stadium seats. This was filmed locally at Los Angeles Valley College and the name of the high school used in the show, the Monarchs, is actually the name of Los Angeles Valley College football team.

Actor Andy Griffith, Mayberry’s Sheriff Taylor in the television series, “The Andy Griffith Show” came out of retirement to act in the video with country music singer Brad Paisley latest song, “Waiting on a Woman.”

Ventura Boulevard was Route 101 before the freeway was put in and before that in 1851 it was the original El Camino Real highway, the route used to get from one Mission to another mainly Mission San Fernando.

Did you know? – Los Angeles is the most congested city in the USA for traffic. San Fernando Valley residents spend an average 7.4 percent longer commuting to work than the average Californian.

Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz stars of the television series “I Love Lucy,” throughout the 1950’s lived in the valley at the corner of Devonshire and Tampa, but is now a gated housing complex, called Running Springs.
