Valley Girl Musings welcomes J.B.B. Winner and Brittany and Brianna Winner, authors of the young adult fiction novel, The Strand Prophecy (Missile Rider Publishing), as they virtually tour the blogosphere in August and September on their first virtual book tour with Pump Up Your Book Promotion!

Brittany: Nothing is simple with us.
Brianna: Don’t forget too we are also identical twins
Brittany: The youngest award winning twin novelist ever.
Jeff: Did I mention the girls were shy?

Brittany: Thank you so much for having us.
VGM: If your book were sold for movie rights which actor/actress would you want to play the main character?
Brittany: We like Bruce Willis as Strand
Jeff: We really liked how Michael Keaton played Batman, he was troubled but brilliant.
Brianna: Michael Keaton would be great.
VGM: Who would you want to play the supporting characters?
Jeff: Ron Pearlman would be Kronos for sure.
Brittany: Leonard Nimoy as Dr. Vitamani
Brianna: Natalie Portman as Anna
Jeff: Michelle Pfeiffer as Dr.E
VGM: If your book was already sold for movie rights tell how it felt to be approached by Hollywood and what the journey has been like.
Jeff: We have a few things pending in this area… stay tuned
VGM: What is your favorite scene in the book that you want to see in a movie?
Jeff: Chapter Two, the Brazilian Jungle. That scene continues to change as it progresses, you don’t know who are the hunters and who are the hunted until the last page of the chapter. Not to mention there are giant frogs and worms, Howler monkeys by the thousands, fire and explosions.
Brittany: Mariner scene. Especially when they all attack Strand, oh and when he boils the lake with his lasers.
Brianna: I would like to see Gaia. It is a converted supertanker, large enough to fit the empire state building inside its hull. The first level has been converted to a replica of a town in the 1940’s complete with cobblestone streets, brownstones and antique street lights.
VGM: Is there a movie you could watch over and over again?
Brittany: Lets see we watch, Hellboy one and two.
Brianna: Van Helsing and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Jeff: All the Spiderman movies, the fifth element and Batman’s.
Brittany: We are big fans of big budget scifi!
Jeff: Have you seen our book trailer?
VGM: No

VGM: I was reading a reviewer that said your book reads like a movie.
Brianna: We visualize each page of our books when we write. We talk about the colors and how it feels.
Brittany: We like movies so when we write, it is like watching the movie for the first time.
Jeff: Colors, light and shadow add intensity in a book just as they do in a film. So the movies are really our point of reference as we are creating.
VGM: What is next on the horizon for you?
Brianna: We are continuing to write the third book of Strand, co-authoring a book for a new book series and working on television scripts and screenplays.
Brittany: We are very impatient.
Jeff: We write everyday for hours and get a lot done.
