Each of us has a different definition of
handsome or beautiful, witty or wistful. When I read: chiseled jaw, dark eyes,
and wavy hair, I may visualize Tom Selleck while you might imagine Tom Cruise.
While a good actor can play any part,
what truly brings a character to life for me can be as simple as the tilt of a
head, a certain sparkle in the eye or a unique vocal accent.
One of the things I enjoy most about
reading is picturing the characters as I meet them. To that end, each of the
actors shown below has several of the visual traits I would ascribe to four of
the main characters in The
Healing Crystal Trilogy: Kairma, Kinter, Collin, and Naturi. I would consider any
combination of these fine actors to be a dream cast.
For
the tough, white-haired Kairma with the pale blue eyes I might choose
Dakota Fanning, Amanda Seyfried, Heyden Panettiere, or Gemma Ward.

Kinter,
the beautiful chestnut-haired little sister, might be played by
Selena Gomez, Leah Lewis, Constance Owl, or Victoria Justice.

Collin
has dimples and a quick smile. He’s playful like Freddie Highmore, Landon Liboiron, Zac Efron, or Logan Lerman.
Naturi
is older than the other three. Easily the most handsome
man in Survin, his dark eyes, prominent check bones, and serious demeanor would
come to life through someone like Michael Hudson, Ben Barns, Paul Wesley, or Pierre Boulanger.
The
above examples give you glimpses of the people I see when writing about their
lives. Who do you see when you read my books?
